if A={1,2,3,4}, then the number of subsets of A that contain the element 2 but not 3, is

If we don't want 3 in any subsets of A
Then we assume that there are only three elements
named 1,2,4
But we also want 2 in every subsets
Then we assume that there are only two elements named
1 ,4
Hence total subsets using these two elements = 22
 = 4
